I have one boy who is neurodiverse, and no matter what we tried there is no way he would sit for even 10 minutes of studio or posed family portraits.

Our other boy loves to pose and switch on a big cheesy smile...but the photos we really treasure are the ones with his real smile, the one that comes out when he's playing with his brother or on a family adventure.

I’m Rainer, a Wellington photographer telling real family stories through my lens — the big adventures, the quiet in-betweens, and all the beautiful chaos of family life. My style is relaxed, unobtrusive, and focused on the moments that matter most to you.

Over my 10 years of experience as a professional photographer I've captured hundreds of weddings, families, engagements and pet sessions.

In that time I have learned that the photos my clients treasure the most are the real ones that show what it's like to be part of their family in this moment. That's what I hope to deliver to many more families as part of my new family photography experience.
